I lived in Ethiopia for 15 years, and I have written and contributed to several books on the country. In Ethiopia, I’ve ran businesses, organised horse treks, failed and thrived.
I have an excellent understanding of cultural mores in Ethiopia – an essential part of communication, that often gets lost in translation, and also speak relatively fluent Amharic.
This fluency, my anthology Ethiopia through writers’ eyes and long residency in Ethiopia, provide me with an unparalleled understanding of Ethiopia’s culture(s). And my talks on Ethiopia, supported by slides and photography, will provide you with the tools to reach an in-depth analysis of Ethiopia’s past, present and future, enabling you to truly ‘read Ethiopia.’
